The folks at Atalanta Tech were kind enough to provide me with these meat claws in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
These meat claws work better than I'd expected them to. I don't own any others but didn't anticipate plastic really being sharp enough to actually pull meat apart effectively. These do so surprisingly well and are indeed sharp (see close-up of back side).
They are excellent for salad as well and primarily work as advertised. They are dishwasher safe but not microwave safe (not sure anyone would want to microwave them anyway) and listed to be BPA free.
They are not exactly as described online though. On the box it states these are heat safe up to 130° Celsius (266° Fahrenheit). The online description says they are heat resistant up to 475° F...
For this reason, I've only used them with meat that has cooled a bit, to avoid them possibly melting. Since they survive our dishwasher with the heated dry cycle on, I don't forsee them easily melting. Hopefully, the box is where the typo lies and they'll correct wherever needs to be corrected.
The backs of the claws are hallow but they still seem well made. They aren't bendable, by my strength, and feel like quality. I'd have preferred the backs to be covered like the front, to eliminate the spots where food can gunk up but it's nothing our dishwasher can't take care of.
I've rated these 3 stars (just okay) because of the confusion regarding the heat resistance. Personally, I'm not sure if they exist, but I'd prefer stainless steel meat claws. (Plastic handles are fine but I prefer as little plastic as possible touching my food.) Definitely personal preference!
