The kind folks at NatraCure provided me with these hot/cold therapy socks in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
I got these therapy socks for my brother who suffers from Plantar Fasciitis. Upon arrival, I was tempted to keep them for myself, lol. I'm uploading some photos so you can see what I mean. These are plush and a real treat for anyone who has worked a long day on their feet or deals with general foot pain.
These NatraCure socks are made in China and seem very well made. He wears a Men's size 9.5 and the L/XL size fit him snugly. They arrive in a box good for gift giving.
Having participated in a few marathons, I can tell you that the best treatment after that type of foot pain is cold therapy and, for that purpose, these are fantastic! For hot therapy, I'd say these are just okay (hense 4 stars instead of 5).
For hot therapy, something I've tried that works, is to fill a clean sock with uncooked rice (add a few drops of lavender or other essential oil if you like) and tie a knot in the sock. When you want hot therapy, you can microwave it for 30 seconds (or more, depending on the wattage of your microwave and your preference) and it is a very comforting hot pack. You could use one in combination with these socks if you wanted to as well.
My brother was hoping to wear these inside his shoes but they're not really made for that. He was hoping to get arch support from them but these are good for treating pain, not so much for walking support, in my opinion...
For that, I'd recommend these (this version is especially made for those of us with high arches). I've worn them through training and participating in marathons and they hold up amazingly, Superfeet Green Premium Insoles,Green,E: 10.5 - 12 US Womens/9.5 - 11 US Mens
(These are not soft or cozy but they are durable and supportive.)
