The folks at Dilanni were kind enough to provide
me with this Plus Size Lace Dress (size: XL, color: Black) in exchange
for sharing my unbiased review...
At the time of my order, I let the seller know ny daughter wears a US women's plus size 16 and requested the XL. The sizing information has since changed but what I received was tagged as a 1X and, most importantly, fit my daughter correctly.
This is a gorgeous dress, as pictured, and it looks great on her. She doesn't typically like anything with any spandex in it so she didn't think she'd like it but once on, the amount of stretch was flattering.
She didn't feel it was too tight around her arms which can typically be the case for her with some brands. She could also easily walk in it (without feeling that it was too tight at the bottom of the length without alterations).
It arrived without any chemical smells. The fabric has a modest bit of shine to it, without being flashy. Overall it is very classy.
The lace feels soft and is in no way rough or itchy. The neckline was also cut just right for her. No need to wear a specific type of bra or a slip. This is an easy dress.
It can be worn in all seasons and is elegant enough to wear to formal events, as listed. She did say she felt the need for spanx because it was a bit fitted through the waistline, like on the model, but I thought it looked great on her.
The length falls below the knees on her and she is five feet tall. The material is pretty forgiving, it doesn't show much because of the added layer of lace. She said it's very comfortable.
The fabric is of a nice weight. It's thick enough to not be see through and thin enough to not be hot for summer months. It arrived with no loose seams and appears to be well made.
I think for the current price of under $33 with shipping, this is an excellent value. Once on, wrinkles don't show at all so this would do well for traveling as well.
