This review is from:
The kind folks at iRulu provided me with this Y1 7" BabyPad Kids 4.4 KitKat Tablet PC in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...

I got this for my four year old nephew and upon arrival, we were quite pleased with it, especially considering it sells for under $50. We've had it in use since December without problems.

This product is listed to be designed in the USA and made in China. It comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, a Quad Core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB Nand Flash, Dual Cameras, and 1024x600 Resolution.

I've had others in this price range that I've reviewed as temperamental at best. They've had more features but annoying glitches in the keyboard, sound, and other settings. This one has worked as it should, reliably.

It's preloaded with Google so if you're familiar with Android, you'll likely like the way this operates. The resolution and speed are good for a budget tablet. The camera's picture quality is also much better than others in it's price range.

The sound quality is pretty decent but we'd use a Bluetooth speaker for watching movies. For kids' games, it's perfect. Set-up was easy and the manual and cable were all included as described.

Our main one we regularly use is a Google Nexus 7 (New Generation). The feel in our hands is a bit more solid but this does feel sturdy (especially compared to another brand I recently tried).

I thought from the description that it comes preloaded with hundreds of games but we had to download the ones we wanted. The Play app is simple and this came with plenty of storage space so no big deal (better than a bunch of preloaded ones we won't use).

This really is good for all ages in our opinion. I do wish it was set up so a password had to be entered for him to buy apps but he hasn't figured out anything bad yet, haha. We also supervise and he's good about asking when something opens other than his games.

We don't use the dual launchers since we're just using it for my nephew but we did play with the options. You could definitely use this for adult use as well.

The case is super well made and the thick rubber corners are perfect for young slippery hands that can often drop things. It goes on and comes off easily for adults. It arrives in a box suitable for gift giving and I think would make an excellent gift.

Most importantly, my nephew loves this tablet. Recommended. Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
