Koomus Pro CD-M Universal CD Slot Magnetic Cradle-less Smartphone Car Mount Holder for all iPhone and Android Devices
The kind folks at Koomus provided me with this Magnetic Phone Car Mount product in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
About a year and a half ago, I paid 21.99 (which I struggled with, for a car mount, lol) for the Koomus CD-Air CD Slot Smartphone Car Mount Holder Cradle for All iPhone and Android Devices
but I was really happy with it and thought it was worth it. If you want
to, for comparison, you can read my review about it here,

So I was pretty excited when Koomus offered me their newest version but somewhat skeptical about a magnet holding my phone in the car. I have an HTC One M8 cell phone (which isn't super light with a 2600 mAh built-in battery)... Pleasantly surprised!! This phone mount has turned out to be my favorite one yet.
The design conveniently comes already put together with steps for placement of the metal sheet (they provide you with two) on the box (see pictures). We put one each behind our phones, under our phone cases. We did not stick them on because our cases are snug enough to hold them in place. They have not scratched our phones.
We've owned more than a few mounts from Amazon and this is by far the best. This model is nice because you only need one hand to put your phone on it and to remove your phone from it... Huge convenience!
There isn't a button to press every time you grab your phone or put it in the mount. You press a part in the center to first get it into your CD player, then your phone pops on and off with ease. No need for adjusting anything. Love that!
Also love that there's no suction cup to deal with possibly coming off or anything that might mark up the car! No rubber grips that hold the phone in place to deal with either. Some are too shallow so you have to place your phone in just right but this one will easily accommodate your phone even with a thick case on.
I've been using it for two months now with my HTC One M8 cell phone with slim case as well as with my husband's same phone but with a thicker case on. Works great with both!
The car we've used it most with is our 2004 Honda Accord. Every so often, I take it out to use when driving another car. Bouncing around when going over bumps is slight and I'm not looking at it when that's the case anyway. It's not fallen once yet and for me this is a big deal. I drive over an hour to school one night a week and, because of traffic, it's over two hours to get there (so about four hours one night a week). A falling phone would really be a safety issue I don't have time for as I use GPS to navigate around traffic.
Compared to the other Koomus, this one is about half the size and doesn't block my view of the radio station or heat mode as much. The other sticks out further, so it lands closer to your hand when driving but takes more space overall so I prefer this one. I've found vent mounts to not work with different size vents and it's all personal preference anyway.
This item is made in Korea and works well both horizontally and vertically and adjusts to tilt every which way as well. The open design nicely allows your phone charger to be plugged in from any location also.
I rated this 5 stars and would definitely recommend it to others. Should my opinion change after more use than I'll be sure to update this review but it does feel and seem to be well made.
Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
