Zaleny Superhero Dress Up Costumes 5 Satin Capes with Felt Masks
The folks at Zaleny were kind enough to provide me with a set of these Superhero Dress Up Costumes (5 Satin Capes with Felt Masks) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
These arrived as pictured and described and without any chemical smell. They were wrapped in clear plastic and then each individually wrapped, making them perfect for putting into gift bags or birthday bags, if you want some really nice party gifts.
Ours came with two cards as pictured, not stickers as listed, but perfect for kids who have play wallets. I've given two of the five to my four year old nephew so far. I initially sent my brother home with the Superman cape and mask to give his son.
That night he sent me a video clip showing my nephew 'flying' (jumping but of course he says he's flying) around the room and telling his dad that he's, 'saving the day'.
My brother told me later that week how my nephew flips the cape and mask inside out and then says he's Batman. Of course, I had to bring him the Batman version at our next get together. Such precious and priceless dress up gifts these are! Saving the other three for when the kiddos are playing at our place.
These would also make very simple and inexpensive Halloween costumes, paired with a black long-sleeve shirt and pants (or colors that match their superhero). For under $22 at the time of my order, I think for under $5 per hero, these are an excellent value.
They can be washed in cold water and hung dry. Low iron if needed but ours arrived in nice shape without any de-wrinkling necessary. We haven't needed to wash them yet and will most likely spot clean if needed.
The fit is quite large around my nephew's neck but you could add your own additional velcro pieces for a tighter fit. The masks fit him comfortably. They are holding up beautifully so far and I'd recommend them without hesitation.
