NICETOWN Triple Weave Microfiber Energy Saving Thermal Insulated Solid Grommet Blackout Curtains for Patio (One Pair,52 Inch by 95 Inch,Grey)
The kind folks at Nicetown provided me with this Pair of 52 inch by 95 inch Grey Blackout Curtains in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
First off, these are listed in the description as Patio curtains but I'm pretty sure they can be used for more than just covering your patio slider (although that's where we'll most likely use them). They appear to be for indoor use and we think they could be used for whatever your application may be.
They arrived as advertised and pictured. These are 100% Polyester and I'm uploading a photo with the wash instructions. The fabric is wonderfully soft, with a subtle sheen, and very rich look.
Normally I'd wash curtains before hanging them but these are so pretty and luxurious looking, I'm afraid of any possible snags (not that they appear like they'd snag easily). I don't foresee needing to steam these though either, because of their weight and thickness. The wrinkles from the folds are light and I don't think they'll last long.
I ordered them in the 95" length because I like the look of curtains that pool on the floor. Some prefer them to brush the floor or to hang them up higher. The puddled look provides a more romantic look. We're staying with my parents while waiting for our house to close so I hung them on a rod they already have up, just for this review.
These curtains have metal grommets at the top for hanging them. They have a nice chrome looking finish. What I like about grommets is that you can hide your curtain rod brackets by putting the last grommet on each end outside of the bracket. This gives a neat look. They also glide across the curtain rod quickly and easily when needed.
I rated these curtains 5 stars because they're the nicest we've owned and they appear to be very well made. There are no loose seams and the stitching appears to be professionally done. They insulate drafts and block light well.
Adding photos so you can see them up close and in full. The grey blanket in one of the photos is there just for color comparison and that photo provides the best shot of the curtains true color. They are a nice, neutral, medium shade of grey, that would work well with most decor.
We've purchased 5 other sets of 'blackout curtains' from another online retailer and none of them have been as substantial or luxurious looking as these. These cost 10-20 dollars more than the others but are worth it to us (the others are also only 84" long).
If you have curtains you love but would like to make them into blackout curtains, I've purchased this here, sold by the yard, and it works (but I wouldn't buy it for looks, lol). 54'' Wide Blackout Drapery Lining Color White Fabric By the Yard
We would recommend these curtains to others and will be buying two more matching sets when we get into our new home. I will be sure to update this review later down the road should they not hold up well. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
