The kind folks at Meilen provided me with this digital bathroom scale (in white) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
This product is made in China and has a very sleek design. Delivered as pictured and described. It measures a foot square with rounded corners, making for less stubbed toes.
It comes set for kilograms with no information provided (unless you use the QR code which I did not) as to how to change it over to pounds. Per the product description here, you can press the button underneath to switch it between three options, including pounds.
It is designed for up to a 400 lb maximum and comes with a 3 year warranty. It arrives in a box suitable for gift giving but I'd be sure to change it to pounds for the giftee, if appropriate, or let them know how. The room temperature is set to Celsius and I was unable to switch it to Fahrenheit.
The digital display reads in Blue and looks sharp. It comes preloaded with the needed AAA batteries and ready for weigh-in by just stepping up on to it. Weight comes up quickly and is accurate within 0.2 lb of my digital scale that is five years old.
The color is not a crisp white but rather a milky white that leans towards frosted glass. Very modern and would work well with any decor. The tempered glass is thick and it has thick rubber feet to protect your flooring.
This scale does not measure body fat, water weight, or bone density, etc. It also does not have presets for different people to track their weight but they do provide a body tape measure and chart for measuring your goals and progress.
I think for currently under $28, it is an okay value. I've purchased scales with more features for only a few dollars more. I think the batteries being included (and not requiring CR32 or other unique types) is a nice bonus, though I think this would be a better value for closer to $20.
We've had this scale in use for over two months without problems and would recommend it to others. Love the clean, minimalist look and easy to clean finish.
