The kind folks at Atalanta Tech provided me with this snow scraper in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
This arrives looking like a really nice product and the grip and size are nice. It would make a better squeegee than ice scraper though because it doesn't have a sharp edge for scraping ice.
To be fair, I live in the Seattle area and we haven't had any snow fall in the two months we've had this item. I can speak to how this compares to another we own and how it's done with an icey windshield though...
First off, the scraper is not stainless steel, it's hard plastic, and the spikes have tips that feel like rubber. This would work for moving snow but we don't forsee this working especially well for thick, hard ice.
Although I like the look and feel of this item, I wouldn't purchase it for scraping ice. The part that is stainless steel is not the part that touches your windshield and the hard plastic edge isn't sharp.
This definitely won't scratch your windshield. We have tinted windows and it hasn't harmed them. I'll be sure to update this review should our opinion of it change after more use.
Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look. It doesn't lie quite flat (which doesn't effect it's use since you guide it using the round handle but I'm slightly OCD so I couldn't not mention it, lol). Smile. Hope this is helpful!
