AYOHOKAY Professional 8-25mm Watch Band Stainless Steel Link Pins + Spring Bars Remover Repair Tool (Misc.)
The folks at Ayohokay were kind enough to provide me with this 270 piece professional watch band repair kit in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
First off, mine arrived in a case that was cracked in multiple places. So the case is cheap (but for under ten dollars, my main concern would be what's in it).
From the description, it says, 'No need paying much to go to the jeweller, you can change watch band link by yourself. Save money.' but that was not my experience. From reading another review, I see that this would be possible with a couple other tools, which I do not have...
That probably explains why my husband (who's very handy but not a jeweler) and myself (I used to manage a jewelry store but we didn't adjust watches) were unable to adjust mine. I'll try other watches and if I'm able to do so with another, I'll come back and update but so far, this didn't work for me.
The tool does not bend and seems strong and the included pins were not rusted (like another set I got here) so I'm rating it 2 stars for that.
From the description, I thought this would have what I need to remove links (without needing to buy other items). For me, that makes this a less than okay product.
I think if it was made clear that you're actually only getting part of what you really need, I'd have rated this product better. The tools themselves are of good quality. The box they came in is junk.
