The folks at Gulaki were kind enough to provide me with this universal magnetic phone mount in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
I've owned more than a few car phone mounts here from Amazon, magnetic and otherwise. This one looks, feels, and installs like a quality product that appears to be comparable to it's competitors' versions but unfortunately, this one did not deliver for me.
It installed just fine onto my mom's Chrysler air vents. The problem is that her iPhone 6S, my Samsung Note 5, and my husband's Samsung Galaxy S7 all droop from eye level.
The magnet sticks fine to the included plate (we put them behind our phones, in between the case, without adhering them) but the phone immediately tilts downward and mine then quickly falls off.
If the point where the magnet meets the tilt was stronger, this would likely be a better product. As it is, it's useless to anyone with a phone that is large or remotely heavy.
I considered rating it 2 stars because it wasn't delivered damaged/ broken but if we can't use it as it's intended to be used, for me, it's a 1 star product.
We've had this mount for over five months and different phones and attempted adjustments have not helped. This is not one I'd recommend to others.
