Dealpeak Purple Selfie Stick - No Title Available

Well Made Product But Unsure About The App........... See Photos~, January 4, 2016

The folks at Dealpeak were kind enough to provide me with this purple selfie stick in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...

I'd never owned or tried a selfie stick prior to this one so I can't speak to comparison. I will say that this is much lighter than I expected it to be and it's also pretty compact.

I've had it for over two months without any problems but haven't used it a whole lot either. The first time I tried it was at a Seahawks game and it was perfect for taking our photo from the stands with the field behind us. It also wasn't an inconvenience or much added weight to carry in my pocket.

This item is made in China. Plugging it into my device didn't make the button operable for it to take a photo (HTC One M8 phone) but just having it for grip and dexterity made it much easier to take a good shot than with our hands.

When I came home I pulled up the app suggested on the packaging. It took me to a site that said it could harm my device so I didn't upload it. (This is the app that is supposed to make it so you can plug it into your audio jack and then take a photo by pressing the button on the selfie stick handle.) I'm okay without it and didn't want to risk it.

I'd rate this 5 stars for the look, quality, size and weight. The handle feels like a nice memory foam type grip and everything seems well made. I'm rating it 4 stars only because I'm unsure of how it works with the app that I was warned could harm my device. Hopefully this isn't the case with all phones. I took a photo of the QR code on the packaging so you can try it with your phone and find out for yourself.

Regardless, I do like that it doesn't need batteries, it serves it's purpose, and it is definitely a pretty thing to use. Smile.
