Deik Premium Silicone Kitchen Tongs 12-Inch, Non-Stick Friendly(Cherry Red)
The folks at Xsc-shop were kind enough to provide me with these Deik Premium Silicone 12" Cherry Red Kitchen Tongs in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
My husband's been saying we need to buy some new tongs for a long time (I've always been fine with what we have). He was pretty happy when these arrived and I was too after opening the package. These are well made, easy to use, and good looking to boot.
The other ones we have are like two flat sets of round wires which I thought were handy before realizing how much sturdier this design is. These of course have excellent grip due to the solicone ends. Both for grabbing with your hands as well as the end that grabs your food.
I've been pleasantly surprised, after over a month of use, with how they've held up. We find ourselves using these over a spatula more often than not and they work well. We've used these in hot oil over the stove and they're holding their shape beautifully.
One of my favorite features is that the loop at the end is not only good for hanging them but also slides out to lock them closed. This is nice for storing them in a drawer or utensil crock, where space can be limited. To use them, you just slide the loop end back in and the tongs open for use. Great product!
