Shanshui® Detachable RFID Blocking PU Leather Book Phone Sleeve with Three Card Holders and One Cash Pocket with Elastic Back Cover for Sumsung Galaxy Note5 (note5-black)
The folks at RFID Case were kind enough to provide me with this Shanshui Detachable RFID Blocking PU Leather Book Note 5 case (in Black) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
I've gotten more than a few phone cases here on Amazon but this is my first one since getting the Note 5 phone.
For the current price of under $15, I think this is a good value. Some points worth mentioning:
-Does not block any of the necessary ports for the charger, audio, S pen, or the camera.
-It covers the buttons along the left and right sides of the phone but does not take away from how easy they are to press.
-Does not effect camera usage, create any halo effects in photos or reflect case color into flash or photos.
-Case fully covers the phone's sides and comes slightly over the front edges, all the way around, to prevent any major damage on all sides if dropped.
-It has grips etched into the sides of the case so it's easy to hold onto, even with wet hands.
-Looks nice. The PU (polyurethane) leather looks (but didn't smell like) real leather.
-Fit is good, easy on, easy off, and snug while in use.
-Because it's designed to magnetize into the wallet, it attaches to my magnetic phone mount in the car without needing anything added to the back of the phone.
My only gripe is that when in the wallet, my S pen doesn't work properly. I'm not sure if it's because of the magnets or what but when unattached from the wallet, it's responsive. (I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 for this reason.)
I've been using it without the wallet, which I'll add, is not one that folds like some do to be a landscape stand. I considered rating this 3 stars, just okay, but the case itself is well designed and for my use, I like it.
The RFID protection gives me peace of mind, if I do decide to use the wallet (especially nice when going somewhere when I don't want to carry a purse) that my cards are protected.
The wallet closure is magnetic and can be tucked back out of the way when viewing the phone in landscape from the wallet. Overall, the stitching and design appear to be well made.
I'm uploading some photos so you can get a closer look. I'll be sure to update this review should any problems arise but it's holding up well so far.
Nice looking case at a reasonable price. Recommended. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
