Hipster Rusted Marled Acrylic Knit Watch Cap
The folks at Bells & Whistles were kind enough to provide me with this Acrylic Cap (color: rust) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
First off, on my screen, this beanie appears to be more of a burgundy or maroon shade. It arrived as pictured except it is definitely more of a rust color, (as listed but not as pictured).
It is made in China and tag shows it retails for $24. The fabric is 100% acrylic (which I like because I'm allergic to wool which makes me itch, where this does not), and it can stretch to fit a larger head.
I washed it per the wash instructions, in a lingerie wash bag, and let it dry flat. I did not experience any fading, pilling, or noticeable shrinking. The fold over is not stitched so if you like a hat that falls closer to your eye level, you can wear this lower on your head.
The wash instructions are not stitched in, they are attached like fabric tape. I left it on through the wash and it did not fall off on it's own but it is easily removable. You can wear this tagless if you prefer to avoid anything catching your hair or irritating your head.
I rated this hat 5 stars because it appears to be well made, I like the design, it's comfortable and there are no loose seams. I think it's look is cute and although the color is not as it looks, I like it. It's not too thick and a bit airy because of the design.
Would recommend this cap to others, especially for the current price in the $7 range. I will update this review down the road should it not hold up well but I've had it for over 6 weeks without any problems.
