This review is from: Opshorie Ionic Hair Straightener Brush Elegant Hair Straightening Styling Detangling Brush for Natural Silky Hair with Ionic function and PTC Ceramic Heating for Quick Styling and Less Frizzy Hair (Health and Beauty)
The kind folks at Proshar provided me with this
Opshorie Ionic Hair Straightener Brush in exchange for sharing my
unbiased review...
I liked the look of this product because of the thicker bristles but am rating it 3 stars, just okay. My main reason is that the bristles unfortunately aren't long enough to really brush my thick hair (I also have a ton of it). It's probably fine for anyone with normal or thinner hair.
I've ordered another brush straightener here and wasn't expecting a brush that heats up to actually straighten my hair but it actually works well. I thought this might work similarly but it didn't do quite as well...
As with any hot tool, it's recommended to coat your ends with a good heat protectant product (or mix of essential oils) to protect it from getting fried, faded, and breaking. You also want to be sure to keep the hot tool moving; brushing small sections at a time will give you the best results. This is best used on dry hair.
The handle and back of the paddle don't get too hot to touch, which I like. At the full 230°Celsius (or 446° Fahrenheit), the bristles didn't seem to do too much for my hair. I think it's because they aren't long enough to really cut through or grab my hair, if that makes sense.
The button placement is nice in that it doesn't cause me to accidentally press the temperature buttons as much as another I own, while brushing through my hair. The ionic feature made no difference with my hair.
It's a good size in terms of not taking up too much drawer space and being comfortable to hold. The cord is a good length and I like that it rotates, keeping it tangle free.
This product is made in China. It arrived in a box appropriate for gift giving and without any chemical smell. A manual, heat glove, and two hair clips were included.
I love the design idea but for the weight and thickness of my hair, this doesn't work very well for me. I think it would probably work best for someone with thinner hair. I think it's a really good value for all that is included for currently under $25.
I almost rated it 4 stars but mine arrived with the electronic panel looking somewhat smeared (although it operates fine). Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look. Hope this is helpful!
