The kind folks at DCOU-Direct provided me with a pair of these black cut resistant work gloves in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
These arrived in a plastic bag and without any chemical smell. They are a bit large on my small hands (for reference, I'm a 5'2" tall female with a 4.5 size ring finger, if that gives you an idea of the size of my hands), especially lengthwise in the fingers.
Getting myself to wear these while cutting should be no problem since I've recently cut myself, a couple of times, with newer ceramic (sharper than we're used to) knives. Unfortunately, I prefer the detexterity of slicing without gloves on.
These are, however, indeed truly cut resistant, as I've tested them with both knives and scissors. My main use has been for gardening because I don't feel bothered by their size while using gardening shears. While slicing food, these feel a bit bulky at my fingertips just due to the length.
We've had these in use for over two months and they're holding up nicely. Four stars, I like them. For use in the kitchen, I'd have preferred them to be food safe and a more snug fit (although I'd probably need a size small available for my hands). These fit my husband's hands great and they are definitely protective.
