The folks at Tevelo were kind enough to provide me with a set of these green silicone heat gloves and hot pad in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
I've yet to find the perfect set of heat gloves but I'm pretty picky and have quite small hands (I'm 5'2" tall with a 4.5 ring size, if that gives you an idea). These come close though and are a good value for currently under $13.
They arrived in a box suitable for gift giving and without any chemical smell. Initially looking at them I thought the fingers looked too short to be practical. Upon trying them on, they're better than most (that often have too long of finger holes, reducing my dexterity with them on).
My husband is 5'11" with large hands and I was surprised that these fit him comfortably as well. For me, the fingers fit well but they are large across my hands. They work well though for our use, taking hot cookie sheets and pans out of the oven.
My favorite feature is that they are 100% silicone so I can wash them in the dishwasher (we put them on the top rack). They have holes for hanging them but they're small. The hot pad feels cheap but works well for grabbing hot dishesvor for a trivet.
These are not overly stiff like some older silicone styles we've experienced. They're long enough to cover the wrists, without making me too hot to want to use them. They grip well.
The color is as pictured online, just about the brightest shade of green, with small hearts printed all over them. I wouldn't say they're my idea of the perfect pair but we like them.
Recommended. Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look and see what I mean. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
