Having worked in a daycare full of toddlers, I can definitely recommend getting some quality bibs for a few reasons.
For one, it's a good idea to give kids choices and if they know something is cute, my findings are that they're more likely to willingly wear it, lol. Second, if it's not absorbent, time is wasted cleaning, or worse, expensive clothes can end up ruined. And last, if it's uncomfortable, you're not going to have the easiest feeding time because they won't wear it.
This newer silicone design is worth spending the extra money for. It's extremely convenient because food falls into the pocket and then can easily be rinsed off or wiped up without having to run soiled bibs through the wash. It's food grade, BPA free silicone and overall seems very well made.
Aside from being adorable (definitely a matter of personal preference!), in our opinion, this style that has a pocket to catch food also makes a child more aware of food spills and more likely to quickly learn how to clean them up themselves (as they grow more independent).
This design is quite innovative in how it rolls up, snaps together, and is perfect for carrying in your purse or when traveling. I definitely recommend this product and love that it's dishwasher safe as well!
I think any parent would appreciate receiving this as a gift! With the included case, I think this is a good value for the current price.
