Verh nice speaker! Feels smooth to the touch like silicone and appears to be built to last. Easy to use. The way it lights up with sound is very sleek and has a really dynamite look!
It arrives with everything needed to use it, just needs to be charged and ours didn't take too long. We use it via Bluetooth capability, not NFC, although it can be used both ways.
We've tested it with our HTC One M8 cell phones, my nephew's iPhone 6, and our Google Nexus 7 (new generation) tablet. It has a rubbery feel to it so it stays put at any angle. A nice feature if you plan on using it on an unstable surface.
Most importantly, the sound quality is fantastic! This sounds to us like we a nice sound system in the room (although we don't own any high-end sound equipment, we've experienced our good share of it).
There is a tiny amount of static that can mostly only be heard during silent moments. My husband was a truck driver for 10+ years so (although he tests to have perfect hearing, his hearing isn't as good as mine) he can't hear the static at all. It's barely noticeable anyway. I don't feel that it takes away from it being a 5-star product but I thought I'd make mention of it.
It's Bluetooth wireless capability allows us to walk 30+ feet away from our phones but it starts to break up past 30 feet. I found that it doesn't do well turning corners though, only across a clear path.
For the current pricing of under $30, I'd say this is an excellent deal. Well gave this as a gift to my nephew for when he goes to college and it was a definite hit! He has been loving it every bit as much as we were while testing it out.
We've had this speaker in use for over six weeks and have zero complaints. I'll be sure to update this review should anything change but we'd definitely recommend it.
