The folks at Haweel were kind enough to offer me this windshield car mount in exchange for my unbiased review...
I certainly wasn't expecting anything sturdy at the low price they had this item listed for.... Pleasantly surprised! I thought for sure I'd at least have to tinker with directions and put it together but fortunately for me, it arrived assembled in the box!
We are quite impressed with the thing, having owned a phone mount for the same price of this one and it was pretty much useless! This model is nice because you only need one hand to put your phone in it and to remove your phone from it...
Easily opens or closes, very nicely designed, and user friendly to boot! Simple design and perfect for the windshield. The suction cup is strong and hasn't marked up the car!
I'd rate this 5 stars on the windshield (as it's advertised for) or 4 stars for the dash because it doesn't stay on as long on the textured finish of the dash. For this reason, the suction cup styles are my least favorite kind (definitely a matter of personal preference!).
The rubber grips that hold the phone in place are super nice compared to others we've tried! Some are too shallow so you have to place your phone in just right but this one is deep enough to accommodate your phone even with a thick case on.
I rated it 4 stars overall and would recommend it to others who want to mount their phones on the windshield. Should my opinion change after more use, I will be sure to update this review.
