Updated - The folks at BzzAgent were kind enough to provide me with this product in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...

I want to share that I wouldn't have normally purchased this product on my own but thought I'd try it for the sake of this review.

I've never really been a fan of Nestle because I prefer non GMO foods and they've previously had some deceptive labeling practices.

Being that they have over a hundred brands, they're obviously pretty hard to avoid one way or another. Of course, it's not all bad stuff, hence my willingness to try this 'Nestle Health Science' product.

Right off, this product looks fantastic, from the label:

✔ No artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners
✔ No high fructose corn syrup
✔ No preservatives
✔ Gluten-free

I also like that there is no Carageenan and I can find it at my local Kroger stores.

It's listed to be best served chilled (and that's how I tried it) but it can also be stored at room temperature until opened. Awesome that it's shelf stable!

Love the cap and the product package design! Super convenient for busy folks like myself since there's no need to blend anything or even grab a straw or spoon. Perfect for when on the go or multitasking!

Flavor was similar to many of the high sugar yogurts on the market and consistency was a bit thicker. Overall too sweet for me but I wouldn't say it tastes bad. I would say that, for health reasons, it's too much sugar for my preferences or recommendations.

I'm uploading a photo so you can get a closer look at the facts for yourself. Above the nutrition facts, it says one serving is one package, 170 grams. Then down below, to the right, in small print, it says one serving is 1/3 cup of fruit.

In my opinion, 6 grams hardly makes a protein smoothie. When I think breakfast smoothie, I think energy boost, and I wasn't feeling one after drinking this.

It also says to keep out of reach of children... I'd personally refrain from letting a child have more than half anyway.

Needless to say, unless Nestle cuts back on the sugar and adds more protein, I wouldn't buy these, except for in a pinch.

*Update - I edited my review from 1 star to 2 and corrected my mistake because I misunderstood the label. I think if you're looking for a healthier high-protein option, using a good protein powder, shaken up with some milk and yogurt (or blended with fruit) would make a better protein smoothie...

We've tried a ton of different protein powders and here are two (available here on Amazon) that we recommend most:

Nature's Bounty Optimal Solutions Protein Shake Chocolate, 16 ounces

Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder, Creamy Chocolate Fudge, 2.03 Pound, 1 Count (The Vanilla Bean flavor is also very good!)

I'd recommend these Grab 'n Go smoothies for convenience only. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
