DHYSTAR Tablet Stand with 360-Degree Rotating Swivel & Folding Style Desktop Stand Holder for ipad 2 3 4 / ipad mini 1 2 3 4 / ipad air 1 2 , Other Most 7-10inch Tablets / E-readers - Black
The folks at DhyStarDirect were kind enough to provide me with this tablet stand in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
This is a nice stand in the look and feel of it's build quality. We've had ours for about two months but haven't used it much and that's my main reason for the 3 star, just okay, rating.
First, it's pretty large, in my opinion. It's described as being light and portable. It is nice in that it folds but I wouldn't use this for travel or want to take it anywhere as it is larger than any of our other tablet stands.
Second, it's listed to be for 7-10 inch tablets but it holds our 7 inch loosely, at it's tightest. We have a Google Nexus 7 (new generation) and it fits when used diagonally but not snugly. Without the case on it's just barely hanging in between the grips.
Those two things aside, it does seem like a good sturdy stand for larger tablets. The smooth silicone feels good in our hands and the base will hold a good amount of weight. For our use, it's just okay.
My last gripe is that it turns 360 degrees but doesn't provide many viewing angles. After our disappointment with the first two issues I mentioned, we didn't spend a ton of time playing with it so perhaps we missed another adjustment option.
Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look and see what I mean. I included a photo with another stand we like that is also a bluetooth speaker and about half it's size. The last photo shows it in use with our thick case on and you can see, it's still a loose fit.
Recommended for those with larger tablets and wanting something a bit of a larger stand. Hope this is helpful!
