SinoPro Rechargeable Motion Sensing LED Under Cabinet Night Light for Closet, Attics, Hallway, Washroom, Wardrobe with Adhesive Strip (Cool White)
The folks at Sinopro were kind enough to provide me with this motion sensor LED light (color: cool white) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
I originally thought this was a good motion sensor light for indoor use. Mounting and instructions are simple to follow and install. We mounted ours to the bottom of a cabinet and it's stayed up fine.
3M tape is used to mount a very strong magnetic strip (so it's easy to remove to charge it). Very innovative design and we like that the length (14") is about double of others we own.
I like how bright it is and how it can be set to only come on when movement is sensed nearby and it's dark. It comes on when we're almost 10 feet away from the cabinet (the sensor doesn't point down like the light, as most do). We turned the sensor towards the wall so it'd come on less frequently.
This product is made in China. The light is very bright and at 6000K it's definitely not a yellow warm light but rather a cool one. I like that instead of taking batteries it charges via USB.
We've had this product for over six weeks and it is still working but not as effectively as we'd hoped. First off, it only comes on for 15 seconds and that's even if we're chopping vegetables right below it. Waiving your hand doesn't make it kick right back on either, it takes a bit before coming back on which can be annoying when you're using it.
Secondly, the instructions say that it should last up to six months before needing another charge. Although we aren't using it a whole lot (it only comes on when it's dark and when we're in the kitchen which isn't frequently), it dies every couple of days. So we're having to charge it every two to three days minimum.
Two stars because it provides great lighting when it's charged, we like the innovative design and it looks nice. Wish it stayed on when movement is not ceasing in front of the sensor and wish the charge lasted more than a few days.
Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look. Would recommend to others if those two issues were corrected. Hope this is helpful!
