This product is made in China and arrived in a box suitable for gift giving and without any chemical smell. Batteries are not included so you'll want to pick-up at least three AAA batteries to operate it.
I ordered this product for our master bathroom. We wanted a night light for when we go in at night because after recently installing some bright (5000K, like daylight) LED bulbs, we found they're too bright for when we're half awake.
Set-up is convenient since no mounting is necessary and the design is portable. Also nice for when it's time to change the batteries, as no uninstalling is needed to access them.
We like how dim it is, as it's just bright enough to see in the dark but not totally wake us up. I also like that the sensor is better than some others I've experienced, that are available here.
As advertised, it does not come on when daylight is in the room (or when other lights are on). It comes on when it's dark and movement is sensed. This doesn't turn off too quickly and when movement begins after it shuts off, it quickly comes back on, without delay.
We've had this product for two months and it is still working fine. It is very lightweight but it is sturdy and it stays put so we haven't had any issues with it falling over or anything.
The brand new batteries I put in were dying after about six weeks of daily use. When the batteries ran low, the light became dimmer (I have another one that ran non-stop when the batteries were low, blowing through them more quickly). The sensitivity remained the same with this one.
We like this night light as it provides a good amount of light for our small bathroom. The last couple of weeks we've used it in our guest bath for my elderly father who is visiting. He likes it so much, we're gifting it to him for when he returns home, so we'll be seeking out another one soon.
Also, it's a warm yellow light, not a cool white, so it is a better fit (in our opinion) for a bathroom, than a closet or work area. Bright enough for our use but not very bright if you're looking for something like a lamp, this is not the one.
