The folks at Keepro were kind enough to provide me with this ProAid Plastic Double Fruit And Nut Bowl Set in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
This product is made in China. It arrived in a box suitable for gift giving and without any chemical smell. Nice to have for fruit, nuts, salad, anything with peels, shells, or needing drainage, for using them together. They are 100% food grade plastic.
These arrived as described and pictured but are much larger than I'd pictured them. The larger bowl is 9.5" square, which is as listed but quite large for our use.
I thought these would be nice for keeping nuts out, especially when entertaining, and they are. My husband and I don't have a huge space though so the size is a bit much for us, for everyday use.
I'd have preferred them to be smaller so they'd take up less space to store (and table space when in use). I think for most people this may be a non-issue but I was hoping for something closer to the size of a regular bowl.
Quality-wise, they are made of hard plastic and feel sturdy. The inner bowl is like a colander (except the holes don't run up the sides, just along the bottom) and the two can also be used separately. Excellent design.
If they were available in a smaller size, I'd buy a set. Recommended to others who have more space than we do. Smile.
Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look and feel for their size. I'd have liked to use them on a side table (where you can see a dish of nuts is now) but it's a little big for my preference. The last picture shows them on a larger coffee table. Hope this is helpful!
