My husband and I bought our first home earlier this year and have been kitty shopping ever since. Unfortunately, we still haven't found him or her yet. We're actually both allergic so we're searching for a hypoallergenic breed that we can afford (hard to come by!).
So you guessed it, like some others, I didn't get this for it's typical use but rather to play with our cat. What cat doesn't love chasing the red dot, right? Smile.
I've had this for months but just in use for about a month now. I was happy to find that the included AAA battery had a plastic piece you need to remove for it to work (otherwise I'd have probably had a dead battery).
It's simple to use with an on/ off switch on the side and a button with a picture of the sun on it that you press for the pointer.
I've used this outside with our neighbor's kitty, trying to draw him into the cat cave we got him. Also when pet sitting for my brother, with his cat that hasn't been eating enough... Great source of exercise here!
It arrived in a box suitable for gift giving and without any chemical smell. It's about the size of two average pens, side by side, and lightweight. I can easily carry it in my purse.
