The folks at Dozzz were kind enough to provide me with this set of six vinyl placemats (color: silver leaf) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
These have actually grown on me. Grey is our neutral color choice in our open kitchen, dining and living room area. Others I've purchased have been in our accent colors.
I went with the silver thinking it would compliment our stainless steel appliances. At first, I thought the silver was too light to look nice over our dark granite and our dark wood table. My husband didn't think so and I soon changed my mind.
Here we have a six pack (rather than four, like others we've purchased) so we're able to have enough for both our dining table and kitchen breakfast bar. We actually received seven in our pack which was a nice bonus.
These will not help to contain a spill since they're not absorbent but after over a month of use, I've yet to have anything spill that hasn't wiped off easily (a good thing since I chose a light color).
These are sharp, standard sized placemats, at just under 18 by 12 inches. They don't slide around as easily as cloth ones do and are a light, reversible design that is quite thin.
They arrived rolled together which I appreciated. I had another set delivered folded in half and they took over 7 weeks of use before they flattened out. These flattened out pretty well, soon after opening them.
Because they are primarily made of PVC, I haven't used them in lieu of a trivet but I have used them with very warm plates of food. They've done well with that amount of heat so far.
This product is made in China. These are durable and I feel that they are well made. Good value for currently under $14. Recommended.
