The kind folks at Wotmic provided me with this Wotech 8000 mAh Power Bank (color: Dark Blue Jeans Pattern) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
First off, at the time of my order, both the color listing and photo of this power bank were blue. It appears the seller has since corrected both the photo and the color name in the title to be black. What I received is, as the product photo now shows, a carbon fiber look, black charger.
Second, this was and still is listed as a Wotech brand item but what I received, like others, is a Joway brand item. Both the box and the product are labeled as such. I'm not sure why that hasn't been corrected but although I think it's a 5 star product, I've rated it 4 stars because of the misrepresentation.
That aside, this is a really nice power bank in a size I like. I've owned my good share of them here from Amazon. My favorite features are that it has dual chargers so I can charge two devices simultaneously and it charges quickly.
For reference, I have a Samsung Note 5 cell phone with a 3000 mAh battery, not a small battery to charge. This powerbank provides me with a full charge while using my phone and still has plenty of charge remaining, to charge my husband's phone or our tablet.
I like that I don't have to recharge it everyday for the amount I normally use it. It's input charge is good at 2 Amp so if you have a good charger, it won't take as long as some others to charge. The four blue lights each represent 25% full charge so you know how much juice you have left.
It's user friendly and simple to use with just the one button to press. It arrived about 75% pre-charged so charging it didn't take long. I do appreciate the styles that have auto detection so I can plug in and it just knows to start charging; this one does not.
This is lightweight enough for me or my husband to carry daily. I typically carry a small, light one in my purse. We keep a larger, heavier, and higher mAh one charged up at home for emergencies.
This product is made in China. It's delivered in a box suitable for gift giving and without a chemical smell. I love the smooth and slim design and the rounded edges feel good in my hands.
For the current price of just under $39, I think it's highly overpriced, compared to similar products available here. I didn't rate it down for that because price can always change. At this price point, I'd expect it to have a flashlight and auto detection, along with higher capacity.
Overall I am pleased with this charger based on it's features and functionality. It provides a good amount of charge for it's size and I'd recommend it to others for a lower price.
I've had this one in use for over three months without problems. Should it stop charging after more time, I will be sure to update this review.
