This dress arrived as pictured and without any chemical smell. For reference, I ordered according to the sizing information online and I'm 5'2". I typically wear a US women's size 6, 32C bust, 29" waist, and am pear shaped with 38" hips.
The length falls below the knees and it fit pretty snugly on every area on me. The material is comfortable, stretchy, and soft. If you want a looser fit, I'd recommend sizing up a size from the recommended sizing.
Love the look and the sexy while classy cut. The belt is pretty cheaply made like any freebie belt but that can be switched out. Overall, it's a little snug for my taste, mostly because of my hips.
It's not unflattering but what I don't care for is that the jacket portion does not overlap the dress portion. Other articles I own, that look like two pieces but are actually one piece, overlap so it's not noticeable...
This does not and on top of that, the dress fabric is actually thicker than the jacket portion. My husband said he wouldn't have noticed unless I pointed it out but once he saw it, he didn't care for it either. It's really only noticeable up close though.
Overall, this dress is well made and has no loose seams. The zipper pulls smoothly and easily but I can put this on over my head without needing to use the zipper.
I think for the current price of under $20, this is a really good value. Perfect for office to evening wear. It's light weight and good for spring and summer weather. It's just thick enough to not be see through but it's not lined.
