The folks at Home Fashions were kind enough to provide me with this Imperial Collection 6 Piece Knife Set (in red and black, not currently an available color option) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
We've had this knife set in use for almost two months and are very pleased with them. They were delivered as pictured and described and are indeed very sharp. The non-stick stainless steel blades make cutting easy and they haven't dulled a bit since our use.
Included are a Chef Knife, Carving Knife, Utility Knife, Bread knife, Paring Knife & Knife Block. The handles are non-slip and provide a comfortable grip, great for the necessary dexterity of cutting.
The red and black looked nicer than expected and we like the small footprint of this block on our counter. Personally, I don't care for the brand name being on each knife three times (twice on one side and once on the other side of each knife) but didn't feel it was worth dropping from 5 stars.
We hand wash them because hand washing helps preserve the sharpness of good knives and these are worth the effort to us. These are sharper than any of our other knives (we don't own any high end knives though). They come in a box good for gift giving.
Highly recommended. I think for their current price of under $27 for the set, these are a great value. Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look and feel for their size. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
