The folks at TabletExpress were kind enough to provide me with this 9" Quad Core Tablet (Black Model K90) in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...

Right off, upon opening the box, this is an impressive value for currently under $55. Included are the large nine-inch tablet, case with built-in keyboard, screen protector, and everything you need to get started for charging and using it. A seemingly exceptional value—

This product is made in China. It comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, a Quad Core 4 x 1.3 Ghz processor, 8GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, Dual Camera,1024x600 HD Resolution, a Wireless N (802.11b/g/n) connector, a Micro SD card slot, Bluetooth, and Mini HDMI...

Unfortunately, for us, it's been a bit more trouble than it's worth. Just to list a few small issues (for me, these are a big deal but for some maybe not at all), first, the built-in keyboard case I was so excited about, the B, C, and space bar keys do not work.

Second, we've turned the key sounds off (not using the keyboard case but on the tablet itself) on numerous occasions but the key sounds don't turn off. When we come back into the settings we can see it's saving our choice of sound off, just not applying it.

Third, we've tried downloading the Netflix app and first it says it's installed but then it's not in our apps. We couldn't find it to use it and yet it continued to allow us to install it (without needing to uninstall). Makes no sense, right? Pretty frustrating. A week later, it suddenly decided to work.

The resolution is not as bright as our other tablet but it's not bad if you're not comparing them side-by-side. The speed is okay but the camera's picture quality is terrible and there's no flash.

The sound quality is okay but doesn't get very loud. We'd only use it with a Bluetooth speaker for watching movies.

Our main tablet we regularly use is a Google Nexus 7 (New Generation). It's smaller but the feel in our hands is a bit more solid and sturdy. This one feels cheap in comparison but you are getting a lot of value in the total package for the price.

We've had this in use for a little over six weeks. I'd recommend it to someone looking for a budget tablet but not expecting top notch quality. I'm rating it 2 stars because of our experience with it. If it wasn't temperamental, I'd say it was 3 stars, just okay.

Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look. The last photo is of the two tablets with the brightness settings at full strength so you can compare. The K90 is hard to see if you aren't sitting straight in front of it, even at a slight angle, the picture washes out. Hope this is helpful!
