This item is made in China. It includes short circuit and overcharging protection so you don't have to stress that this product might cause some of the common problems caused by older technology. It's also designed not to overheat.
I've owned quite a few car chargers over the years and I like that this one is not too large compared to some of my older ones (especially considering that it has three ports). It also has smart detection so you can plug any device into any port.
With 6.8 Amps of power, you can charge three of your devices simultaneously and at full speed. If you want fast, you've found it with this product. I've tested it with both my and my husband's HTC One M8 cell phones and our Google Nexus 7 (new gen) tablet. Great charger.
