Winkine Lightweight Canvas Cute Backpacks - Causal Style School Shoulder Bag
UPDATED - The folks at EveryMarket US were kind enough to provide me with this backpack in exchange for sharing my unbiased review...
When I initially ordered this backpack, I'd read a couple of reviews that recommended this bag, per the description, only for light use, maybe like a purse but not for anything heavy...
I was quite pleasantly surprised with this bag! In the initial packaging, in all of it's cuteness, I'd have agreed but after over a month of use, I'd say it can handle my college work load!
This bag's body feels thin but similar to my JanSport backpack, that doesn't mean it won't hold up! If you are familiar with JanSport, you know that it has a lifetime warranty and is built to last.
What I love about this bag most are the padded shoulder straps. They are wide and comfortable. Carrying my notebook, some files, three textbooks, and supplies aren't light. Good straps are important for carrying a heavy workload comfortably.
The mesh side pockets easily fit my Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle - 16oz - Double Walled - Flip Cap Sports Water Bottle
and have a bit of room to spare. When water bottles are in place
though, they take away from the inner space of the body of the bag. It's
nice having pockets that allow a decent size bottle standing up though!
There are two zipper pockets on the outside that I wish were a bit wider. I use a photo case for supplies and it's just a bit too wide for these but fits fine in the body of the bag. It's from another retailer but similar to this one, IRIS 5" x 7" Photo and Craft Storage Case, 10 Pack, Clear
Having two zipper pockets instead of one is nice though and they add to the depth of the bag.
The body of the bag is another favorite feature for me. It's roomier all around than my JanSport and fits all of my books and files with room to spare. The padded pocket that safely protects an iPad is perfect for my Google Nexus 7 (new gen) tablet, again with room to spare. The added two slip pockets are perfect for a large cell phone like my HTC One M8 and some pens or other items you may need quick access to.
The zipper pulls have the leather look and thus far I've not had any problems with the zippers. There are no loose seems and the bag appears to be well made. Should my opinion change later down the road, I'll be sure to update my review but I feel like it'll hold up just fine.
Overall, I'd say this is a fantastic backpack that looks even better in person and is large enough for comfortable adult use. Highly recommended! Uploading some photos of the bag in use, so you can get a closer look inside. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
UPDATE - I'd updated this review once before, from 5 stars to 4, because one of the 2 zippers came undone from closing the main part of the bag. It still closed via the 2nd zipper and I figured it was just because of my husband's rough pull. I see now that the update for whatever reason did not save.
In any case, now after starting my 3rd semester of college with this bag, less than a year of use, the 2nd zipper is also now useless so I can no longer use the bag. Edited to 2 stars. Time for a new backpack! Loved this one while it lasted.......
